Small businesses are critical to any societal economy; they are the life blood that keeps economies moving. In the context of the Cayman Islands, we have many small business owners, and in East End many ranging from technical/vocational trades to farmers. Greater support is needed for these small businesses to help them grow.
Helping small businesses grow in our community will lead to greater prosperity and more employment opportunities for our people.
As your elected representative I will:
- get bigger businesses both locally and internationally to create business to business opportunities for business owners in our constituency.
- negotiate with the government of the day to ensure small business owners from the district are considered first and get economic benefit from any government contractual initiatives in the eastern districts.
- work with young individuals in our community interested in entrepreneurship and align them with business mentors that will assist and guide them so that their chances of being successful at their business ventures are increased.
