A different approach is needed for the district to create more employment opportunities for East Enders, especially among our young people. For too long our young people have been neglected and denied the opportunities for attaining gainful employment. Many working age individuals, especially those involved in skilled and unskilled trades, are also challenged in attaining employment.

As your elected representative I will:
- Work with the government of the day to ensure school leaving young people from our district have two clear paths laid before them: either move on to higher education/tertiary studies or enter an apprenticeship employment programme that trains and provides employment.
- Work with the appropriate government departments and local businesses to assist unemployed East Enders gain employment to support their families.
